There’s been a lot of sexual tension between the two and I think at this point…I think they just at this point, why not just go for it?
That’s tough to say. I think Bonnie’s a little worried about what other people think. And Jeremy’s just like “hey, whatever, you know…”
Well, the relationship with John Gilbert is as complicated as they come. He’s got one side of his heart and mind fighting another side. One side is so curious about his family legacy that he’s only recently figured out about, and his father, which there’s a whole other side to him which he didn’t even know about. And Uncle John seems to know about this so Jeremy wants to ask him more than anything “What’s going on? What’s happening?” But another side of him is so hurt. Uncle John has had good intentions in his mind. [But] he’s hurt a lot of people that I love. He’s killed one of the girls that I loved. I think at this point, Jeremy has got a layer of hurt going on. Even though he’s callous now, through everything he’s been through, so he doesn’t quite show it as much but he’s hurt to the point that he’s not willing to mend his relationship with him.
I don’t even think Jeremy’s worried about that. I think more than anything, he’s hurt by him. And he doesn’t want any more tension. And Jeremy’s been through so much loss, so much pain, that he’s just like — I think that’s why he offers him the ring. He’s like take what you need to, do what you need to, and leave me alone. But when he doesn’t take the ring, he’s curious as to why he didn’t and so I think Jeremy is just all around confused at this point.
Yeah. I mean I think that’s one of his intentions. I don’t think he has bad intentions for Jeremy at all. I think in his mind, he’s doing the right thing for Jeremy and setting him on the path he needs to be on. But he goes about it in the wrong way altogether. Jeremy’s a mixed up kid and he’s figuring out more and more about himself as time goes on and I think [John's] just given him too hard of a shove from behind trying to push him in the wrong direction which has caused him to rebel against it.
Yeah. Damon and Stefan are always in the mix of things, so Jeremy is always trying to find his way into the situation — “What’s going on? How can I help?” If it involves protecting his sister, Jeremy’s going to be there.
Yeah, for sure. I think Jeremy — one thing he has, he doesn’t have powers, but he’s very aware of things going on and he’s in the middle of everything. I think him and Tyler have a friendship, even though Tyler’s kind of in the middle of his own stuff right now, figuring out who he is and his responsibilities as a werewolf, so he’s not quite involved in that as he is with trying to protect his family and figure out more about Bonnie.
Yeah, for sure. But I think that will take time. That won’t be rushed, but at some point they will.
It’s something that happens this next episode, and I can’t really say much.
Yes and — you’ll see. Things kind of reach their climax. It’s fun, it’s just waiting to see what happens.
Not so much. Though Jeremy’s involved with the situation, and his attention is [towards] his sister and he’s involved in this crazy situation and Stefan is involved in this crazy situation, [but] he still doesn’t have that much power. And I think Elijah is more concerned with the bigger players.
I think it’d be interesting to see him be more involved with his family legacy and starting to get involved with the training of being a vampire hunter. Whether Alaric takes him under his wing, or Uncle John, and just kind of get mentored in the right direction.
Yeah, eventually. He’s not ready to become friends with Uncle John yet. He’s too hurt by him. But he’s very curious. That’s definitely something that’s always on his mind. He thought he knew his dad, but apparently he doesn’t. So he wants to know what’s going on. He’s just not ready to ask
