H Katerina Graham μιλαει στο Seventeen για την Bonnie και τον Jeremy...
Kat Graham I love that this season is about the originals, and they’re focusing on Klaus. He has become such a threat in Mystic Falls, and to Elena, and even to Bonnie because as of right now, Klaus still thinks that Bonnie is dead. I love that they’re dealing with the issue of having to save Stefan Salvatore — say that five times fast! — and I love how dangerous everything is this season. It’s life or death.
17: We were so surprised when Bonnie and Jeremy first got together, and now, we're so rooting for them. Were you guys surprised too?
KG: It came out of nowhere, totally. Even Stephen McQueen and I were like “What??” because we never had any scenes together before. But I love the pairing because even though they made Bonnie such a badass witch, they still kind of kept her innocence and made her sweet and vulnerable and I think that that came out a lot with Jeremy. And especially after the season finale, seeing that she had to put everything on the line to bring him back to life, I know she’s going to fight for the relationship but she wants to make sure that he’s going to too. I don’t know how excited any girl would be if her boyfriend picked dead ex-lovers instead of her. So well see what decision he makes.
17: So the dead girls are here to stay?
KG: You definitely see more of Malese Jow and Kayla Ewell, which is exciting for me because they're my girls and we love girl time. But it's not so exciting for Bonnie. But you get to see them appearing and Jeremy has to deal with it and then decide whether or not he’s even going tell Bonnie, so its pretty cool.
17: Bonnie’s so tough and strong, and confident in herself. Do you identify with her?
KG: I totally identify with her. I get these amazing e-mails from all these girls from around the world who identify with her too. It’s important that they see in pop culture that you don’t have to follow everything that your friends are doing — you don’t have to give in to peer pressure if you think something isn’t right. Whether it's life or death, or just something you don’t want to do, you don’t have to do it. Bonnie has gone against her friends and her family and anyone else you can think of, when she's felt like it was the right thing to do.
17: What advice do you have for girls who are still trying to find that inner strength, in real life?
KG: For someone like me, who’s a little different with my fashion sometimes, I get targeted and bullied just like they might in school. Still to this day I’ll still go on Tumblr and I’ll look at the fan art and stuff like that and I’ll randomly see something that I’m like, “oh that’s kind of mean, that hurt my feelings,” but its all part of just being human and I want them to know that that even I get it.
17: How do you deal?
KG: I call my friends and I’m like, “This made me feel upset, what do I do with this?” And they’re like, “Why do you pay attention to what other people think of you?” You just really can’t. No matter how much you want to, these people either don’t know you, or they're jealous, or they have their own agenda, or they’re too insecure to be themselves. So they’ll attack you. You have to just talk to your friends, talk to your mom, or if you don’t have them around that moment, just say, “You know what? I can handle it. It’s fine. I can do this,” and just keep going. What else can you do?
