Compulsion can be a bitch. It can also come back to bite a vampire. As we saw when Caroline turned, all the times Damon compelled her came rushing back. Expect the same to happen to Vampire Diaries’ newest bloodsucker.
Elena will have at least one serious flashback involving Damon, but it’s not their very first meeting she’s remembering at least, not yet. Instead, Elena will be confused by a memory of Damon telling her he loves her from Season 2, Episode 8, “Rose.” Why does the moment mess up the new vampire so much? Elena doesn’t realize she’s reliving the past, as opposed to experiencing something in the present.
