H Candice Accola μιλησε στο TV Guide για τον χαρακτηρα που υποδύεται την Caroline...
After Klaus (Joseph Morgan) once again threatened to kill Tyler (Michael Trevino), Caroline (Candice Accola) had to watch as Tyler once again ran away to save his life. But instead of having time to cope with the sad loss, Caroline must also remain strong for Elena (Nina Dobrev) who appears to have lost her brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). How will she handle both?
"Caroline is in fix-it mode and we'll see her in her element being very maternal," Accola tells TVGuide.com of Thursday's episode (8/7c, CW). "Everyone comes together in this episode and whereas everyone is usually plotting together for evil, this time everyone is plotting together for good. There are some really beautiful moments."
Unfortunately for Caroline, dealing with loss isn't anything new. "This isn't the first time Tyler has had to leave, so that's why she's like, 'How many times are we going to be doing this?' But I think Caroline is very convinced that she can convince Klaus to back off so that's going to be her new goal moving forward. By no means was this a breakup for her. She's got a lot of hope in her and that's her new thing: figuring out how to have Klaus calm down and have Tyler come back. She's being very optimistic."
Ironically, while Klaus is the reason for Tyler's absence, he's also the person enticing Caroline to leave Mystic Falls behind. In fact, the scenes between that duo are among the most soul-baring discussions on the show.
"What brings out Caroline's openness is that... Klaus [reminds her] that there's a whole other world out there," Accola says. "She can travel and experience things and grow and learn, and that's been implanted in Caroline's brain and she can't get it out. Klaus is the only person she can dream big with. It's not that 'we can run away in the sunset and be in love' dream that she has with Tyler, but it's running off to Paris alone and being independent. That's enticing. ... Klaus has aroused those thoughts in Caroline."
Since it remains to be seen if Tyler will actually return this time, can Accola imagine a time where Caroline really has moved on? Not really. "What I always have to remember is that all these characters are still young," Accola says. "At the end of the day this is their senior year and they're babies! Right now Tyler has been such a strong core in Caroline accepting who she is. Tyler was the first person who accepted her for who she was and allowed her to blossom. So, I feel like it's that first true love and right now it's very strong and unbreakable. Who knows as the characters grow up and grow older? But right now I don't see her being like, 'I'm going to ... get on OK Cupid and see what else is out there.'"
