Διαβαστε μερικα spoilers γενικα για την 5η σεζον:
Luckily, we’ve collected enough spoilers and juicy tidbits from the cast — and boss lady Julie Plec! — to help us paint a pretty picture (à la Klaus) of what’s to come. From Frosh Week adventures at Whitmore College to flashback episodes and new characters, here’s your complete guide to Season 5.
The times they are a-changin’ for our Mystic Falls gang — and we’re definitely along for the ride!
Time Jump! Season 5 will pick up three months after Silas got the upper hand on Stefan, which means it picks up just in time for our fave vamps to start school.
The Vampire Diaries: The College Years? It’s a truth universally acknowledged that the ultimate challenge for every teen show is college. (See: Saved by the Bell, Gossip Girl, and The OC.) But don’t worry, TVD fans: Julie Plec has a plan. When Elena and Caroline head to Whitmore College for their freshman year, mystery and death will obviously follow them! It looks like Mystic Falls isn’t the only town with an abundance of supernaturals.
"They're really committed to enjoying life and enjoying college and being college freshmen," Julie told Hollywood Crush. "Of course things will go instantly, terribly wrong, because that's what always happens, but they remain committed to trying to have a true college experience and it bonds them in a really good way."
New love interests? Klaroline fans, take deep breaths because it looks like our fave blonde vampire (sorry, Rebekah, Lexie, et al!) will be crushing on an upperclassman come fall. (What about your “first love” Tyler, Caroline?!) Greek’s Kendrick Sampson will play Jesse, a fellow student at Whitmore College, and he’ll hit it off with Caroline. However, he has an issue with vampires, which could derail their love connection.
But what about Tyler? Don’t worry Forwood fans: Tyler and Caroline are still very much together in Season 5. However, like any high school relationship, there’s going to be a few growing pains. “College is not easy when you're moving away from home and you're trying to service a relationship that defined you in high school, and now where does it go in college?” Julie told Wetpaint Entertainment. “And she, more than anybody, will be really struggling with adapting from this sort of bright and sunshiny high school Caroline Forbes to the girl that's trying to live a good life at college in spite of a lot of obstacles that are going to come her way.”
Tyler returns — for now. Tyler is still MIA in the beginning of Season 5, but he will return at some point, and when he does, he’ll share a “beautiful moment” with Caroline.
However, does Tyler really want to be at Whitmore College? "Caroline went to all these great lengths to get Tyler freed from whatever mean and cruel servitude Klaus had him under and come back to Mystic Falls," Julie told Hollywood Crush. “Unfortunately, he gets caught up helping out some werewolves and isn't in a hurry to return to the classes Caroline's enrolled him in.”
Jeremy Gilbert: Dead Man Walking? In the Season 4 finale, Bonnie made the ultimate sacrifice: she traded her life for Jeremy’s. Now, the once very dead little Gilbert is alive and kickin’. How is he going to explain his fake death?
“He's got to deal with the fact that his peers already had a memorial for him,” writer Caroline Dries told Wetpaint. “So he has to deal with the awkward social situation that he's about to walk into, and he actually takes on a very man kind of role. He becomes the man of the house. He really grows up between last season and this season. He takes on a protagonist type of action role.”
Jeremy will be Bonnie’s “mouth piece.” It looks like Bonnie is still trying to hide her death from her friends and family, and she’s doing a pretty good job, thanks to Jeremy. “He's helping hide her secret of her death,” Julie dished to Wetpaint. “And he's reluctantly communicating with all her friends and family as her, at her request, and it's not comfortable for him, and he really, truly believes that Bonnie needs to 'fess up, or at least that her friends need to be aware that she's no longer with us. And she's fighting that tooth and nail.”
With her BFFs starting their freshman year at college and Stefan at the bottom of a lake, it must be a better time than ever to be dead! But will sparks fly between Bonnie and Jeremy? After all, this wouldn’t be the first time Jeremy has fallen for a ghost. (R.I.P., Anna.) According to Kat Graham,Bonnie and Jeremy’s relationship becomes more intimate in Season 5.
Delena is going strong. It was a moment four seasons in the making, and we’re glad theTVD writers are taking the time to explore Damon and Elena’s relationship, even if the two are separated by distance. (But here’s the silver lining, Delena fans: they spent the entire summer together!)
"Damon and Elena are living the ultimate hometown hottie long-distance relationship,” Julie told Hollywood Crush. “Part of the fun of Damon and Elena will be seeing how they handle being separated, and once it's revealed to them that Stefan's not just out living his life, that he's actually in jeopardy, what will that do to both their relationship and also to Elena's commitment to college?"
Poor Stefan. Vampire Diaries fans are used to the excessive amount of torture on the show, but no character has gone through the amount of physical and emotional pain Stefan had endured all season. The sensitive Salvatore has been drowning, dying, and coming back to life all summer long! Yikes. (Sorry, Stefan, not only did you not get the girl, but your big bro has been making out with Elena all summer while you’ve been dying over... and over... and over.) But that’s not all: poor Stefan is also having painful hallucinations.
And when Stefan finally gets himself out of that locked vault at the bottom of the lake, he’ll be a changed man.
Damon and Stefan/Silas hug it out. Get ready for one of the most awkward scenes in TVD history when Damon and Stefan (aka Silas) literally hug it out after a summer apart. You’d think this would be Damon’s first clue that something isn’t right with Stefan.
"I think the unveiling of the Silas secret identity treachery will happen quickly, because we tend not to drag that stuff out too long on The Vampire Diaries,”Julie told Hollywood Crush.
Silas in charge. Paul Wesley has been waiting to sink his teeth into a much darker role for a long time, and it sounds like Silas is the perfect villain in Season 5. Not only did he lock his doppelganger Stefan in a box and throw him into a lake, but now he’s taking over Mystic Falls!
At this year’s Comic-Con panel, fans were treated to an intense clip of Silas addressing what seemedto be a compelled group of humans at the Mystic Falls End of Summer Party. He wants the limits of his powers to be tested, which only makes him more dangerous for our Scooby Gang.
“This summer I have consumed an immeasurable amount of blood and I have found myself getting stronger and stronger every day,” Silas says to the captivated Mystic Falls crowd. “And I started to wonder, what are the limits to my powers? How many people can I influence? Two? Ten? An entire town square?”
But Silas isn’t the main “Big Bad”! If you thought Silas was scary, just wait. There’s an even more terrifying Big Bad on the horizon.
Katherine’s human dilemma. During her days as a vampire, Katherine put one thing first: herself. Of course, this means she has quite a few targets on her back, but without her vampire abilities to help her get out tough situations, for the first time in hundreds of years, Katherine finds herself completely vulnerable — and at the wrong end for a lot of vendettas. Come Season 5, Katherine will turn to an unlikely source for help. Damon, perhaps?
Well, if there’s one person who knows how to be human and avoid danger, it’s Matt, but how will Rebekah feel about this potential friendship?
Matt and Rebekah’s European adventure. When Season 5 picks up, Matt and Rebekah will still be in Prague, where they will meet Nadia (Olga Fonda), "a mysterious European beauty who follows Rebekah and Matt back to Mystic Falls.” Nadia’s mission? To deliver Stefan "an ominous warning about The Originals." Could this be what drives Rebekah to pack up her bags and join her brothers in New Orleans?
More new characters. In addition to Jesse and Nadia, expect to meet Elena and Caroline's yet-to-be cast "hot, but not-so-nice professor" who will have a surprising amount of knowledge about Mystic Falls, and Megan, who meets Jeremy at the 1950s-themed Decades Dance. Also joining the cast this season? "A male doctor who knows all of Damon’s secrets," according to TVLine.
A flashback. Expect a major flashback in Episode 3 to “a decade we haven’t seen before.” Want more hints? Season 5, Episode 3 is also when we meet Stefan’s former girlfriend: a vampire named Tessa. Since she’s a “nobleman's daughter,” according to SpoilerTV, we’re guessing we’re going way back in the Salvatores’ history — and perhaps to another country?
Are you excited for Season 5, TVD fans? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re most looking forward to this season.
