If there’s one thing we know to be 100% true, it’s that The Vampire Diaries Season 3 isn’t messing around. Season 1 saw the destruction of the Fell’s tomb vampires and the reappearance of Katherine Pierce (and the loss of Uncle John’s fingers). Season 2 saw Damon overcoming a werevamp bite, Klaus completing his sadistic sacrifice, and Aunt Jenna being killed on nature’s altar.
Just when you thought our favorite Mystic Falls residents had enough on their plates to deal with — what with Klaus running around creating hybrids left and right — along comes the Original Mother who decides that it’s time to raise the stakes…and then plunge them straight into Alaric Saltzman’s sizzling, manly chest.
